Questions to ask about solar funding

Before sharing information or signing anything, establish exactly which scheme and organisation you are dealing with.

Identity

What is the full scheme name? Which public body funds or administers it? Can you reach the same route from GOV.UK, GOV.WALES, your council or another official publisher?

Data and consent

Who receives your details, why, for how long and with whom will they be shared? Is marketing consent optional and separate?

Money and contract

Is any fee, finance, contribution, deposit or long-term obligation involved? Who contracts with you, who chooses the installer and what happens if work is unsuitable?
